About Shravan

Hi, I’m Shravan, a passionate 5th grader at Hartland South Elementary School and a rising star in the world of chess. With a USCF rating of 1540, I have already achieved milestones like finishing second in the 2024-2025 Wisconsin Junior K-8  Open, which earned me a place as an alternate player in the prestigious John D. Rockefeller III National Chess Tournament.

My Journey

I started my chess journey in 2023, and since then, it has become not just a hobby but a part of who I am. Chess has taught me lessons about strategy, resilience, and adaptability that extend beyond the board.

Achievements

  • Represented the state of WISCONSIN, USA as an alternate player for the Rockefeller National Chess Tournament 2025.
  • Multiple top finishes in local and regional tournaments.
  • Consistently improving in both competitive play and personal growth.

Beyond Chess

When I’m not competing, I enjoy solving math puzzles , coding, and exploring the connections between logic, problem-solving, and creativity. I’m also passionate about mentoring younger players and promoting chess in my community.

My Goal

I aspire to become a professional chess player and achieve the Grandmaster title. Along the way, I aim to inspire others to take up chess, showcasing the joy and life lessons the game can offer.
